You may require the IMAP/POP3/SMTP settings so you can use another mail client to send and receive your Gmail emails. The IMAP/POP3 server address is used to retrieve your email from the mail server and the SMTP server address is used to send emails from the mail server.

We recommend that you use IMAP instead of POP3 when possible to retrieve your emails.

Please refer to the Gmail article http://mail.google.com/support/bin/topic.py?hl=en&topic=12806 for instructions specific to your preferred mail client.
