Your University is funding 20 students to attend The British Conference of Undergraduate Research in Cardiff on 15-16 April 2019.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of the biggest undergraduate research conference in the UK.
WHAT IS BCUR?
The British Conference of Undergraduate Research promotes undergraduate research in all disciplines. BCUR 2019 will be held at the Treforest Campus of the University of South Wales on 15-16 April 2019.
Thanks to a Learning and Teaching Innovation Grant, the University of Portsmouth will be fully funding 20 students, four from each faculty, to participate in BCUR 2019. Any undergraduate at any level can apply for funding. If you are interested you can apply by completing this online form.
This is a two stage process:
First: you apply for funding internally to the University of Portsmouth
Second: if you are successful and your funding is agreed, then we will help you submit you application to the BCUR conference organisers.
The deadline for the internal application is: 26 November 2018
If you have any questions or would like more information, contact Julian Ingle, Deputy Head of ASK: email@example.com
WHO IS BCUR FOR?
If you are an undergraduate student, this is a great opportunity to meet students from other universities and share your work. Many courses include opportunities to develop independent research. Performances, installations or interventions from students in the creative industries are also very welcome.
You might be working on a dissertation, or you may have devised your own topic for an assessment. You might have worked with an external company, or worked with a researcher over the summer to help them with their research project.
All research is welcome at this conference, in any discipline taught in Higher Education. If you are unsure whether your work fits, get in touch, or talk to your tutor to find out how to get involved.
