This article provides information on how to log into the Staff Portal.

The Staff Portal has been updated to use your UoP Google account details to login (, instead of your staff username and password (SurnameF).

Please see instructions below:

If logged into your UoP Google account, use from your browser. The 'Google Sign In' window will appear. Select your Google account, and a page displaying your name and your profile picture will appear. Continue to use the Staff Portal as normal. 

If you are not logged into your UoP Google account, you will be presented with the following window:




Enter your UoP Google account ( and log in as normal. Continue to use the Staff Portal as normal.

I log into multiple Google accounts at the same time

If you are signed into multiple Google accounts when attempting to access the Staff Portal - you will be presented with the following window:



Select your university email and login.  Please note, you may at times need to re-enter your password for security reasons. When returning to the staff portal in the future, this account will automatically be selected.

I am a new member of staff and have never logged into the Staff Portal

If you are a new member of university staff, you may not have logged into your UoP Google account before.  On first signing in with your UoP Google account on the Staff Portal, you will be asked to read and accept the terms and conditions.  Once you have accepted these, you can continue with logging in. 

To register with the staff portal, you will be prompted to enter your Staff ID number, as it appears on your University card. 


Selecting links from within the Portal

Some links within the Staff Portal may still require the use of your normal University Login (SurnameF). For example, selecting 'Unit Timetables Link (Academics Only)', an additional screen will require you to input your username and password (SurnameF).
