This article will inform you about the Student Finance Centre at the University of Portsmouth.

The Student Finance Centre is here to help you manage your finances as a student. We provide a range of services, which can be split into two main areas, information, advice and guidance, and the administration of hardship funds.

The centre is on the second floor of the Nuffield Centre. As the team is currently working from home we aren't able to see you in person but you can still contact us by email or direct message through social media.

If you'd prefer to talk through your financial concerns you can arrange for a member of the team to give you a call too. We are working hard to ensure you can book an appointment to see us soon.

Feedback on the Student Finance Centre

You can leave feedback on the Student Finance Centre by completing an online version of the SFC's Student Satisfaction Survey here.

Information for staff

If a student expresses to you that they are experiencing any financial difficulties, please encourage them to contact us for support and advice, particularly if they are considering leaving their course.

We are unable to discuss individual student's situations with you unless we have their permission but are always able to give generic advice as to how to support students with any money problems.

In addition, if you would like to find out more about the general student finance support available to students, please get in touch, we are always happy to run training sessions particularly if you work with pre-entry students. We can also deliver talks or information stands about the funding available to students at any events you would like support with.
