This article contains information for University staff only.

This article provides information on the equipment in the IT Training Room and its availability for use outside the IT Training Team.

The IT Training room is a classroom style IT training facility within the IT Training department, on the ground floor of block 5, St Andrews Court. Whilst the IT Training Room is a dedicated resource for the IT Training Team, we are happy to allow other departments to utilise any spare availability when our schedule permits.

To best meet the needs of our customers and the projects we support, we schedule on a rolling three month basis. Please note, that in addition to the published scheduled of events we also run regular bespoke sessions and targeted activities. Whilst we are unable to release the room to other users ahead of our schedule we will, within that time frame, do our best to match any requests to available slots.

Equipment/Facilities

The machines are a modified staff university Windows 7 build, we strongly recommend that you arrange an opportunity to test the software you plan to use in advance of your delivery.

  • 10 participant PCs
  • 1 presenter PC
  • standard Crestron control panel
  • whiteboard
  • full wheelchair access

Please note that Staff Cards are required to access IT Training and should refreshments be required, these should be booked directly with Catering and IT Training advised.
