Course Aims:

To become conversant with the functionality to effectively manage electronic documents and records using Objective.

Course Pre-requisites

This course is mandatory for Staff who will require Edit User access to the EDM System. 

Course Objectives

By the end of the course the user should be: 

  1. Competent in the access and navigation of the EDM system via Objective Navigator
  2. Able to identify different Object Types within EDM.
  3. Familiar with how to Add/Import existing documents and understand the value and benefits of metadata input
  4. Able to understand the policy and use of Corporate Value (high value) documents
  5. Able to edit documents, understand the document status icons and overall document cycle
  6. Aware of Version Management
  7. Competent with the creation and use of aliases (shortcuts), and the Handy folder
  8. E-mailing Objective documents and document references
  9. Familiar with commonly accessed document properties
  10. Competent with the use of the text search facility
