The Service Desk
The Service Desk provides a single point of contact for all IT related problems and queries.
IT Help Advisors
IT Help Advisors (ITHs) are situated at the support desks in our open access areas.
IT Help Advisors are on hand to give you the support and advice on a wide range of IT issues, including:
Student IT Help Centre
The Student IT Help Centre is available for any University of Portsmouth student to visit to get free, face-to-face support with University related student IT problems.
There is a waiting area as well as laptop benches so you can still work whilst waiting for assistance. You do not need to book an appointment before visiting the Student IT Help Centre and you can receive assistance regarding a wide range of IT queries, including:
10:00 - 16:00 Monday - Friday (term time only)
The Student IT Help Centre is located next to the Students' Union building.
Out of hours support
Outside core University hours, we offer limited IT support, via our out of hours team, available from 5.00pm - 8.00am during the week and 24 hours a day during weekends and bank holidays. Support during these times can be obtained by telephoning the normal Service Desk number above. Support provided includes:
