The University of Portsmouth values all members of its' community and achieves this by providing a fair, supportive and discriminatory free environment that promotes equality of opportunity and values diversity and inclusivity.

The aim of this article is to provide information in relation to any questions regarding potential disruption to your studies if you make a report of bullying/harassment to the University.

You will not be victimised for:

  • Making a claim of harassment or bullying.
  • Making a suggestion or complaint that, in some way, you may have been discriminated against.
  • Helping someone else to make a claim of discrimination, perhaps by providing evidence or some other form of support to that person.

Victimisation is entirely unacceptable behaviour which can have a profound effect upon the working environment and lead to a reluctance to report discrimination, harassment and bullying.
