This article will inform you on fees and diagnostic testing for a specific learning difficulty.

If you are a home student and need a diagnostic test to establish a specific learning difficulty, for example dyslexia, the Student Finance Centre will meet the full cost of your test if you have the assessment internally.

You can pick up an application form from the Student Finance Centre after you have spoken with the Additional Support and Disability Advice Centre (ASDAC). Once this form is completed and returned to us you will be sent details of how to book your test.

If you have undertaken and paid for a diagnostic test privately we are able to reimburse the fee up to a maximum of £300. You must still complete an application form and provide a receipt from the assessor which shows the date of the test, and the name, address and contact details of the assessor.
