This article provides information regarding anonymous complaints.

The University will not usually accept anonymous complaints, particularly as these cannot be investigated properly. A person who is complained about has a right to know what is alleged about them and who is making the complaint. Staff in the Complaints Team will decide whether a complaint that has been raised anonymously should be investigated. Their decision will take into account: the seriousness of the issues raised, the credibility of the allegation, the evidence received, and the likelihood of confirming the allegation from other sources. You will not be disadvantaged as a result of making a complaint unless the complaint is found to be malicious.
