This article includes information about the parking that is available for disabled students.

Parking Permits

The University car parks are under the control of Portsmouth City Council. Students who are registered disabled badge (Blue Badge) holders are entitled to a free car parking permit on receipt of proof of eligibility. This allows students to park in University car parks within the designated disabled parking bays with blue or yellow lines. There are limited parking spaces and there is no guarantee that spaces will always be available in the immediate vicinity of a University building. See how to apply for a parking permit here.

Free University Bus Service

A free and accessible University-run bus service connects the main campus areas, Southsea and the Langstone Student Village.

Taxis

If you do not qualify for a University parking permit, but for reasons of disability have difficulties with using public transport, you may be eligible for a contribution towards alternative transport costs such as taxis through the Disabled Students’ Allowance.
