This article will provide information regarding how the library is able to support distance learners.

The Library does its utmost to provide a quality service for those students who are not based in Portsmouth. While some of our resources and facilities are local in nature, where applicable we highlight alternative options for Distance Learners.

The first time you use the Distance Learners Document Delivery Service you will be required to register. After that you only need to login using your University of Portsmouth username and password.

Full terms and conditions can be found on our website.

Basic general information on accessing Library services and resources is covered in our Using Online Resources section.

In this section, we offer additional services and advice specifically for Distance Learners:

Discovery Service

If you need quick access to relevant e-resources, Try the library’s Discovery Service. You can refine your search by selecting the Full Text Online option and then narrow it further by source type as required.

The University's Academic Skills Unit (ASK) also provides support for Distance Learners.
