This article will provide you with information on entering the Library building.
To use the Library you need to have your student/staff card. Once you’ve have this you can use it to access the Library building through the turnstiles. It is also needed for a number of library services including borrowing items and booking group study rooms.
If you have forgotten your student card, you are able to collect a temporary pass at the entrance of the Library. All you have to do is enter your UP number and password and accept the terms and conditions. They last 24 hours and render your student card inactive for that time. You are allowed up to twelve passes over one academic year. These cards allow you to gain access to the Library, however you are not able to borrow laptops, take books out or gain access to the group study rooms.
