This article includes information for students about when and how they pay their tuition fees or hall fees to the University.

Once you register online, you will receive an email which includes links to information concerning your registration, the University terms and conditions, tuition fee invoicing and payment.

What happens?

Tuition feesOn or shortly after the first day of term, and following registration and a successful ID check, a tuition fee invoice/payment plan will be generated and sent electronically to your University email account and to your personal email, unless you have already paid your fees in full in advance.

Please note, you will receive an official invoice from the email address: income@port.ac.uk. However if you have requested a pro-forma invoice, this will be from the email address:tuition.fees@port.ac.uk. If you receive an invoice from any other email addresses, please refer these to income@port.ac.uk 

This invoice will include ‘Ways to Pay’ information. If you pay the invoice in full before the due date, you can deduct a 2% prompt payment discount.

If you wish to pay by instalment, you must provide a payment instruction for Direct Debit or automatic collection from a credit or debit card.(Note that the Direct Debit option is only available for UK bank current accounts).

The University instalment plan is 6 x monthly instalments from October to March. It is recommended that all payments (and instalment instructions) are submitted to the University using the Webpay system. If you have chosen the instalment option and completed the instruction, a payment plan will be sent to your University email account or to the payer. Collections will be made from your nominated account according to the details in the payment plan.

Hall Fees are due at the beginning of each term, unless a Direct Debit or automatic Credit/Debit card instruction has been submitted as above. A payment plan will be sent to your University email account or to the payer

If you have submitted an instalment instruction you may select an 8 x monthly instalment plan from October to May. No discount is offered for accommodation fee settlement.
