This article will explain how to re-register onto your course if you are continuing your study (whether studying on the same course or transferring course).

 

On-campus International (i.e. non-EEA) students

To continue to be a student of the University of Portsmouth you are required to re-register onto your course. This entails completing the online Registration Form, re-producing personal identification and providing a valid term time address. You will not be registered on your course until you have completed the Registration Form and provided us with these documents/details.

Step 1 – Completing the Registration Form

It is necessary for you to complete the Registration Form before you arrive at the start of term, or before your course start date. Your department/school will notify you of the date when you can re-register. By registering with the University of Portsmouth you will be able to access all University facilities and services.  

Using your current student Google email account details, please click here and follow the instructions to commence completion of your Registration Form. Once completed check your student Google email to receive confirmation that you have successfully submitted the form.

If you receive an ‘Incorrect login credentials’ message when logging into the registration system, you are able to reset your password at www.port.ac.uk/studentaccount, or contact the Service Desk on 023 9284 7777 or email servicedesk@port.ac.uk for assistance. If you receive an alternate error message when trying to access the registration form, please contact our Registration team directly on regform@port.ac.uk or 023 9284 7744.

Step 2 – Travelling to the UK

Please ensure that you have all travel and immigration documents in your hand luggage with you when you travel to the UK.

Step 3 – Attend a Registration Event

As a continuing student you are required to show your personal identification documents at the beginning of each academic year. As soon as you arrive in the UK, please attend a registration session at the earliest possible date.

This will be done by within your department and will need to bring your passport to do so.

If your current visa will expire in 3 months or have submitted a new visa application and have yet to receive the outcome, you will alternatively need to complete your ID check with the Student Administration Team during their outlined ID checks below.

If you are required to attend an ID check with the Student Administration Services Team please bring your Passport, BRP, Entry Clearance Letter/Vignette or relevant visa application evidence and details of your Term Time Address to the following locations on one of these scheduled days:

If you are a Tier 4 General Student, sponsored by the University of Portsmouth, the University will inform the Home Office of your non-arrival within 10 working days of the final date of registration and your leave in the UK will be cancelled.

From Monday 28th January, if you need to complete an ID check and/or collect your BRP you will be able to do so through the MyPort Team. They are based on the Ground Floor of the Nuffield Centre, St Michael’s Road, Portsmouth, PO1 2ED. They operate a collection service on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00-12:00 and 14:00–16:00.
