This article explains about televisions in halls of residence rooms.

You are allowed to have a television in your room. However, if you have a television, are watching live TV via TV viewing software or watching BBC iPlayer, you accept responsibility for buying your own television license.

The television license must be registered at your halls room address – this is the law. For further details on student TV licensing, please visit the TV Licensing website.

Television can be accessed via many providers on the internet using either the ‘ResNet wired’ or the ‘eduroam’ wireless networks in your room, providing you have a TV license. You can also access officially recorded television programmes or record television programmes at Bobnational using your University computer account details.
