This article will provide you with information on the ‘no smoking’ policy on University premises and the safe areas to smoke around campus.

You are not allowed to smoke in halls. This includes your bedroom, en-suite if you have one, kitchen or any other comm

unal area, corridors, lobbies, stairs, landing, elevator, balconies orinner courtyards. The same rule also applies for e-cigarettes.

You may not smoke within five metres of any halls of residence, or any other University building. If there are designated smoking areas available, these should be used.

If you do smoke in halls or any of the mentioned areas, then you will be in breach of your contractual agreement and therefore subject to disciplinary measures.
